# Page

The template for standard pages — About, Shipping, FAQ, Terms, and anything else you create under **Online Store → Pages**. It shows the page title and content centered at a readable width.

**Where to find it:** theme editor → page selector → **Pages → Default page**.

## Settings

* **Max content width** (500–1200 px, default 800) — how wide the text column gets. 700–800 px keeps lines readable; go wider only for pages with tables or images.

### Section style

* **Top padding** / **Bottom padding** (0–120 px, default 64), **Background color**, **Text color**.

## No blocks

The content is whatever you write in the page editor — headings, images, lists, and links all carry through in the theme's typography.

💡 **Pro tip:** you don't have to settle for one look for all pages. In the theme editor you can create extra page templates (**page selector → Pages → Create template**) and add sections above or below the content — e.g. an About template with an [Image with text](/sitesbyseth-docs/skeleton/sections/image-with-text.md) section and a [Newsletter](/sitesbyseth-docs/skeleton/sections/newsletter.md) band, then assign it to the page under **Online Store → Pages → your page → Template**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://sitesbyseth.gitbook.io/sitesbyseth-docs/skeleton/sections/main-page.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
