# Collections list page

The page at `/collections` — an automatic grid of **all** your collections (3 columns on desktop, 2 on mobile), each tile showing the collection's featured image and title. 24 collections per page with pagination.

**Where to find it:** theme editor → page selector → **Collections → Collections list**.

## Settings

### Section style

* **Top padding** / **Bottom padding** (0–120 px, default 64), **Background color**, **Text color**.

That's the whole section — the tiles themselves are automatic.

## Controlling what shows

The grid lists every collection available to your Online Store channel. To hide a collection from it, remove the Online Store channel from that collection (**Products → Collections → your collection → Manage** under Publishing). Set each collection's image under **Products → Collections → your collection → Image** — tiles without one show a placeholder.

💡 **Pro tip:** if you want a *curated* category grid on your homepage instead of this everything-list, use the [Collection list](/sitesbyseth-docs/skeleton/sections/collection-list.md) section — it lets you hand-pick collections, override images, and rename tiles.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://sitesbyseth.gitbook.io/sitesbyseth-docs/skeleton/sections/main-list-collections.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
