# Featured collection

A grid of product cards pulled from one collection, with an optional "View all" link to the full collection. Cards follow your **Theme settings → Product cards** styling (aspect ratio, hover image, quick add, badges).

👉 **Customize → Add section → Featured collection** (on pages that allow sections).

## Settings

* **Heading** (default "Featured").
* **Collection** — the source collection. Until one is picked, placeholder cards render.
* **Products to show** (2–12, default 8).
* **Columns on desktop** (2–6, default 4).
* **Columns on mobile** — `1` or `2` (default).
* **Show view all link** (on) — a "View all" link beside the heading, pointing at the collection. Only shows when a collection is picked.

## Pro tip

💡 With quick add enabled in Theme settings, this section is your fastest path from a landing page to a cart — single-variant products add in one tap right from the card. Pair a "Last chance" collection with 2 desktop columns for big, editorial cards.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://sitesbyseth.gitbook.io/sitesbyseth-docs/showcase/sections/featured-collection.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
